Jack Sevens Gallery was started by directors David Richardson (Curator& Gallery Management) & Chris Jackson (Supporting Curator & Business Development) in 2009 as a small exhibition space in Hayfield, Derbyshire specializing in the sale of original contemporary landscape painting.

David has worked extensively within in the Arts both as a practitioner and within education in a wide variety of settings. Chris has developed a successful career spanning 25 years as a leading international business consultant and a passionate supporter of the Arts.

Representing a growing portfolio of locally and nationally acclaimed artists their reputation for the sale of high quality original artworks became quickly established.

To reach a wider audience and further develop its profile as a leading gallery in the North West, Jack Sevens relocated to a beautiful refurbished silk mill in the centre of Macclesfield town Cheshire & established Jack Sevens Art Yard in JUNE 2011

The main exhibition space is a beautiful double floor, ceiling height space flooded with natural light. Works are also exhibited around the remaining three spaces. There is a small tea & coffee area and a gallery store selling an appealing collection design –led products .

The mill has been restored very sensitively to retain original features and also has a courtyard through which to enter the building from Chestergate.

Jack Sevens Gallery is committed to the following aims:

  • To create value through all the gallery’s activities whilst promoting and supporting our Artists on a local, national and international level through the sales of their works.

  • To produce regular exhibitions of solo and group shows throughout the year
  • To provide a consistent approach in selling, high level original contemporary artworks that appeal to art lovers and collectors alike.
  • To actively seek out and support new and developing talent through representation within the gallery by providing new artists opportunities for exhibition.
  • To develop and establish sustainable, creative partnerships within the local and wider community including schools and organizations within the voluntary , private and public sectors.

The gallery provides a wide selection of collectable original artwork alongside limited edition prints for sale through regular solo and mixed shows.

We are open Monday to Saturday- 10am -5 pm.
